BIPOC SMITHS RETREAT

This event, hosted by SPARC, will be a gathering of BIPOC artists in the metal crafts that will be held September 20-22, 2024 at the Steel Yard in Providence Rhode Island. The goal of this event is to foster community building and information exchange through demonstrations, workshops, shared projects, exhibitions, and intentional time for attendees to connect. The retreat is open to any BIPOC person currently working with metal or interested in engaging with this community.

Friday - arrival, set up, meetup for dinner at a nearby location

Sunday:
10-12 - Open studio, opportunity for attendees to try the demonstrated processes with the demonstrators present to assist
12-2 - Lunch/clean up/discussion
